I've been to quite a few FSU home and road games in the past few years but there are 3 specific games that stand out to me. I have the Florida game in 2010 at home, The Chick-Fil-A Bowl 2011/2012, and the Clemson game saturday night.
We have had a few games over the past few years but my favorite tailgates and game atmospheres had to be UF 2010 and OU 2011. Although we lost that OU game at home I can't remember the last time Doak was that loud. That game far trumped any Doak game Ive gone to in recent memory with the crowd noise. Clem game last year at home was loud but OU was crazy.
Tons of shenanigans at this years Clemson game which included: blowing my whistle to continuous start seminole chants for hours, accidentally walking the Tiger Walk area roped off for the players and getting booed all the way up the hill, and the massive FSU tailgate in the corner of a giant Clemson Alumni lot on the direct path of the buses (where the shenanigans continued) and I've never had as much fan sitting up that high in a stadium in my life. The team could do no wrong against the #3 team. Haven't felt that level of "swag" in a long time. Their fans were for the most part world-class as hosts.
The Chick-Fil-A bowl featured the hit on Lattimore, an ACC win over the SEC, an FSU victory over Spurrier, ATL on New Years celebrating an FSU win in Buck Head. C'mon man!
Okay my extremely poor written rant is over. I know I can write better than this but its 5 minutes until I can leave work on a Monday after a 14 hour drive from SC back to Tampa and I am not about to proof it!
