Did the ACC end up doing FSU a huge favor with the schedule?

Going into the season, I loved the first half of the schedule - Monday night game with the next Saturday off to give the coaches time with the players following the first game (time to correct the new QB and the new defense), then the week off before going to Clemson.

Now, to me the schedule immediately following the Clemson game is looking great. Who better to follow a big game than NC State at home? Most the team and half the coaches remember being derailed at NC State while ranked #3 last season - motivation to not have a let down. Then comes Miami - no chance for let down there with the number of players who were recruited by both schools and with high school classmates on the Hurricanes' roster.

If that wasn't enough, the coaches know the history of FSU and Wake Forest. Should be an easy win. Two home games against Syracuse and Idaho follow (though the ACC didn't have much to do with the Idaho scheduling). Syracuse was expected to be down this year - nice to have them in the back half of the year when the press clippings could get into the players' heads.

I just really like the way the schedule lays out to avoid the letdown game and win out.
