I was born & raised in Huntsville, Alabama & have been a Bama fan from day one. The older I've gotten, the more I root for Bama but also the more I see that in doing so, we are rooting for or against 18-22 yo's. I've been reading a lot of articles, some of which seem to have the purpose of trying to start causing bad blood & trash talk between Bama & Florida State. My take, however, is to treat the other team based on the persona they put out. Now I ain't saying if we play each other in the BCS National Championship Game that we shouldn't root for our team & against the other. What I'm saying for me personally, is treat the team like they need to be treated. In Florida State, for many years, you have shown yourselves to be a classy, Let-My-Play-Do-The-Talking-For-Me team. Jimbo Fisher & Bobby Bowden have always shown themselves as men with integrity. They coach & manage their players to be the same way. I'm not saying there hasn't been speed bumps from time-to-time but its that way at Alabama too, as well as at all colleges & universities. As an Alabama fan, I would love to see us play the Seminoles in the Championship Game. I would love to see us win. But if we were to lose to you guys, it would be slightly easier to take by losing to a classy team. Much easier than losing to the likes of Miami (who hasn't, in my opinion, changed the image they've had for almost 3 decades), Texas A&M (can't stand arrogant, classless Manziel) & Penn State (their lack of control over their people) just to name a few. (I bet you all agree with me about Miami.) I hope y'all understand my point in writing this post. Win or lose, you guys handle yourself with class. Good luck on the rest of the season & see you at the BCS Championship Game.
