Florida State has hired Jay Graham as an offensive assistant, according to a report by Warchant.com

Graham has seven years of coaching experience, and was a graduate assistant at Tennessee under Florida State offensive coach Randy Sanders. Most recently, Graham was an offensive coach for South Carolina (running backs and tight ends) from 2009 to 2011, and the running back coach at Tennessee in 2012.

Florida State defensive end coach Sal Sunseri would have worked with Graham on staff at Tennessee in 2012. It's likely coach Jimbo Fisher picked Sunseri's brain about the move.

Graham has a reputation as a good recruiter, and did strong work for Tennessee for the 2013 class. He was the recruiter of record for seven commitments, including three rated as four-stars or better. Graham recruits the Carolinas and the South, and could continue to recruit that territory at Florida State, as the Carolinas are an increasingly important area in recruiting.

FSU still has one coach opening to fill.
