Had a talk with a friend of mine who’s a NFL position coach and he said something that I thought was very interesting: successful seasons are often defined by the play and health of your most important players not always your best players. Unique ability or lack of depth behind a player could make him more important to the team’s success than a player who would be considered better. ie Cam Erving is probably more important than Rashad Green, even though most would consider Rashad the better player. So here’s the question: who are our 25 most important players for the 2013 season. Click the link below to rank your top 25 players. I’ll post the results right before spring practice starts. In August, as things take shape in fall practice we’ll rank again; then in January we’ll rank the 25 best players of the 2013 season. If the players deemed most important, get hurt or don’t play up to par that could affect the team’s success.
