Florida State football practice report 4/10

Joel Auerbach

The Noles practiced Wednesday with the Spring Game just a few days away, and they also released scrimmage stats.

Florida State took the intramural fields Wednesday following what Jimbo Fisher described as an extremely physical scrimmage Monday afternoon. And it showed. There were a number of players added to the no-dress list and we'll find out after practice whether or not they'll miss the Garnet and Gold Game this weekend. It was definitely an interesting practice, to say the least. But here are a few things I noticed.

*Marvin Bracy finally made his first spring practice appearance, however he was not dressed out and was not participating.

*James Wilder Jr. was not dressed out today and we won't know exactly why until we get Jimbo after practice. However, he did run very hard in the scrimmage and may be banged up. Little need to risk him.

*Mario Pender and Timmy Jernigan were no-shows todays.

*Eddie Goldman (ankle) and Keelin Smith were not dressed today, either.

*Tyler Hunter, Devonta Freeman and Nick Waisome were still hanging around today, but I didn't see Ronald Darby or Demonte McAllister.

For the most part, they were just running individual drills today and apparently plan on a shorter practice. I think this is due to the team being a little beaten up after Monday's scrimmage. The Noles have one last spring practice scheduled before Saturday's spring game, and by then we should have a better idea of who will and won't be playing Saturday.

Monday's Scrimmage Stats

*RB- Wilder Jr.: 13 carries, 69 yards, 1 TD. 1 reception, 40 yards.

*FB- Chad Abram: 5 carries, 24 yards, 1 TD. 3 receptions, 31 yards.

*RB- Mario Pender: 6 carries, 20 yards(left early with injury).

*WR- Kenny Shaw: 11 catches, 115 yards, 1 TD.

*WR- Kelvin Benjamin: 6 catches, 131 yards.

*WR- Willie Haulstead: 5 catches, 51 yards.

*WR- Christian Green: 7 catches, 130 yards.

*WR- Rashad Greene: 2 catches, 63 yards.

*DE- Mario Edwards Jr.: 6 tackles, 1 TFL.

*DT- NileLawrence-Stample: 6 tackles.

*CB- Lamarcus Joyner: 9 tackles.

*CB- P.J. Williams: 8 tackles, 1 TFL.

*S- Karlos Williams: 8 tackles, 1 TFL.

*CB- Colin Blake: 6 tackles.

*DT- Eddie Goldman: 4 tackles, 3 TFLs.

*DE- Gio Newberry: 3 tackles, 2 TFLs.

*QB- Clint Trickett: 17-for-28, 195 yards, 2 TDs.

*QB- Jacob Coker: 10-for-17, 162 yards, 1 INT.

*QB- Jameis Winston: 8-for-15, 129 yards, 1 INT, 2 rushes, 1 rushing TD.

*QB- Sean Maguire: 8-for-15, 102 yards, 1 TD.

According to a number of sources, Jimbo made the last few minutes with Jameis live. That's when he apparently ran over a pair of defenders and found the endzone for a touchdown. Clint, it seems from the stats, had the best day. But I'll remind everybody to take these stats with a grain of salt because the media didn't actually get to see any of this.

Enjoy.
