Florida State Football Spring Game Central: Game Thread

Joel Auerbach

The Noles will take Bobby Bowden Field at 2pm Saturday afternoon for their annual Garnet and Gold Spring Game.

With some of the recent injuries, Jimbo Fisher decided against picking captains for this year's spring game. Whether or not that was the only deciding factor is unknown, but the rosters were released last night. Clint Trickett and Jameis Winston will be on the Garnet team, while Jacob Coker and Sean Maguire will be on the Gold. Along with Trickett and Winston will be the starting offensive line and specials teams, while the first team defense will be on the Gold side with Coker and Maguire. And that, at least in my opinion, shows that Jameis has moved his way up in the "rotation."

Also, with the lack of running backs that we'll see today, you can expect to see more of an air-attack, and with that, a better understanding of who these quarterbacks are. Trickett and Winston will get to throw to Rashad Greene, Greg Dent and Christian Green, while Coker and Maguire will get Kelvin Benjamin.

Other than the list of guys we've known were going to miss today's game, these rosters are also without Nick O'Leary and Willie Haulstead.

I'll be keeping a loose game thread in the comments below for those who can't make it to today's game and would like to follow along. Let me know if you have any questions.
