Re-thinking Rix: need some fan input

I am a freelance writer and working on a story on Chris Rix as Florida State prepares to start a redshirt freshman as the starter at quarterback for the first time since 2001. Rix was the player fans loved to hate, as you all know. My story reexamines his difficult tenure at FSU but I need some details and am looking to the loyal and informed fan base that is the readers and commenters at Tomahawk Nation for a little help. I am interested in recollections (but images would be even better) of some of the invective heaped on the young quarterback. I recall, for example, the "Rix Happens" t-shirts that appeared in the stands. So if you remember or have photos of signs around town (like those ones where you slide the letters in the channels, often seen at churches. It seems like there was a car repair place that always had "Fire Jeff" up), t-shirts, hand-painted signs, etc. from the time that were directed at Chris Rix I would greatly appreciate you commenting on this fan post and including the image if available.

There is one other thing I would like to find. I recall hearing somewhere the following quote attributed to Bobby Bowden: "Every time Rix threw the football you knew something good was going to happen. You just didn't know to which team." I have scoured the interwebs for this quote but cannot find it. If anyone has this documented or recalls hearing it and can identify where I would love to know. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
