Florida State wide receiver Rashad Greene suffered an injured finger during practice Monday, according to sources within the program. Greene, who led FSU in receiving yards a year ago, would have been a major loss for a Seminoles wide receiving corps that was already down four players at the position. Greene is not expected to miss any games, though it is not known when he'll return to fall practice. His finger will be in a splint.
Greg Dent is facing a sexual assault charge, and while his case is pending, he can't play. Dent was fifth on the team with 355 yards receiving in 2012. Additionally, Willie Haulstead is no longer on the team after being declared academically ineligible. Haulstead didn't have much of an impact last season, but he did have nearly 600 receiving yards in 2010.
The Seminoles are counting on Greene to be a major producer at receiver again in 2013. One likely option for a larger role is junior Christian Green, who has played in 26 games during his FSU career.
