Part of the fun of being a diehard Seminole football fan is seeing your favorite Noles play in the NFL once their college career ends. FSU has produced a plethora of NFL talent in recent years, which means the league is littered with those who once donned the infamous garnet and gold.
EJ Manuel won his first game as a professional in dramatic fashion, as he threw a touchdown pass with less than a minute remaining. Overall, Manuel completed 27 of his 39 attempts for 296 yards. EJ's transition to the NFL game has been successful thus far, especially considering that he missed the end of the preseason due injury.
Christian Ponder had a so-so afternoon against the Chicago Bears, as the Minnesota Vikings lost by one point. On the day, Ponder completed 16 of his 30 pass attempts with one touchdown and one interception. Ponder's sole pick resulted in a Bears' touchdown, though.
Coming off a dominant first week, Anquan Boldin will travel with the San Francisco 49ers to face off with the Seattle Seahawks at 8:30 EST.
On the defensive side of the ball, New Orleans Saints cornerback Patrick Robinson and Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons will play big roles for their respective teams.
