Florida State Recruits and Targets Results Week of 8/30

Let's take a look at some of the high school football results over this weekend.

Here are the results of most of FSU's commits and targets that participated in a game this weekend.


  • LB Kain Daub and Blake McClain of Sandalwood (Jacksonville, FL) aided in the defeat of Creekside (Jacksonville, FL) 30-14. The Game was tied up at 14 at the start of the 4th quarter, but Sandalwood's power running game and stout defense helped them pull away. Sandalwood's defense only allowed 12 rushing yards the entire second half. Kain Daub actually had 5 rushes for 53 yards in this contest.
  • WR Markell Pack helped Purvis (MS) with a over Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS) in a 21-7 win. He had a 32 yard TD run in the game that helped ensure their victory.
  • OLB Jacob Pugh of Godby (Tallahassee, FL) was on the losing side against a strong DeMatha (MD) team, final score of 6-29.
  • S Trey Marshall aided Columbia's (Lake City, FL) route of Gainesville (FL) by a score of 49-7.
  • DT Dexter Wideman of Saluda (SC) aided in their victory over Ridge-Spring Monetta (SC) by a score of 37-12.
  • Devlin Purifoy of Pensacola Catholic (FL) racked up 6 solo tackles in a winning effort against Navarre (FL).
  • TE Mavin Saunders helped Kinkaid (Houston, TX) defeat St. PIus X (Houston, TX) by a score of 36-14.
  • DT Demarcus Christmas helped Manatee (Bradenton, FL) defeat Gilman (Baltimore, MD) by a score of 44-14. The 4 Star recruit had a fumble recovery in the game.
  • QB JJ Consentino of Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA) routed Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA) by a score of 65-3.
  • OG Corey Martinez  of Tampa Catholic (FL) was part of a losing effort against Madison County (Madison, FL) by a score of 15-30.
  • ATH Malique Jackson of Wayne County (Jesup, GA) was on the winning side of a contest against Appling County (GA) by a score of 40-14.
  • ATH Jojo Robinson of Northwestern (Miami, FL) was in a losing effort against St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) by a score of 3-38.
  • RB Jonathan Vickers of North Florida Christian (Tallahassee, FL) had 48 rushing yards on 10 carries in a winning effort against Deerfield-Windsor (Albany, GA).
  • I can't seem to find any info on DE Rick Leonard, if anyone knows about how he played please post it in the comments section.
  • OT Ethan Frith of North Pike (MS) was part of a winning effort against Franklin County (Meadsville, MS) by a score of 34-20. North Pike's offense racked up a total of 465 yards on only 33 plays (14.1 yards per play!).
  • WR Ryan Sousa of Lake Nona (Orlando, FL) had a 116 Reception yards on 7 catches and 2 touchdowns in a losing effort against Winter Park (Orlando, FL) by a score of 44-21.
  • WR CJ Whorton of South Dade (Homestead, FL) helped his team win in a close one against Columbus (Miami, FL) by a score of 12-10. Whorton had two touchdown grabs including a 41-yard catch early in the game.
  • DT Adam Torres did not play in the Lake Mary (Orlando, FL) Lake Howell (Orlando, FL) matchup due to a knee injury. The injury does not seem serious at this point but we'll be keeping a watch on it. Lake Mary steamrolled Lake Howell by a score of 57-14.
  • Fredrick Jones of Central (Miami, FL) was part of a winning effort against American Heritage (Plantation, FL) by a score of 41-20.
  • CB Adoree Jackson of Serra (Gardena, CA) had 5 tackles and accounted for two TDs in a 28-22 win over Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ).
  • OT Damian Prince of Bishop McNamara (District Heights, MD) aided in a 51-42 shootout over Mount St. Joseph (Baltimore, MD) on Friday.
  • RB Darrell Scott of Havelock (NC) helped his team beat New Bern (NC) by a score of 31-13.
  • CB Kendarius Webster aided Stockbridge (GA) in a 32-7 win against Tri-Cities (East Point, GA).
  • CB Marlon Humphrey of Hoover (AL) was on the winning side in a contest against Colquitt County (Moultrie, GA) by a score of 24-10.
  • RB Jeff Jones of Washburn (MN) had a huge game against Highland Park (St. Paul, MN). The 4 Star RB ran for 152 yards on 19 carries and also had a 42 yard reception on the final drive before punching in the game winning touchdown on a 1 yard run to help lead Washburn to a 56-50 victory. In addition, Jones had 95 reception yards and also returned a kick for 85 yards.
  • OT Roderick Johnson of Hazelwood Central (Florissant, MO) in a close 33-28 victory over Webster Groves (MO).
  • RB Shai McKenzie propelled Washington (PA) to a 26-14 victory over Greensburg Central Catholic (PA) rushing for 188 yards and finding the end zone 3 times.
  • WR Travis Rudolph of Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach, FL) had a fantastic game racking up 10 catches for 155 yards and 2 TDs, he also forced a fumble. Cardinal Newman however lost to Boynton Beach (FL) by a score of 27-34.
