I'm an old school Nole who can probably accurately begin his obsession back to '81 or so when Greg Allen was running up and down the grid. I attended FSU '91 thru '94 so also got to see the 1993 NCs up close. I have 4 2013 Noles in my top 26 (11/11/K/P/KR/PR):
NOL - I'm a PBC native plus TE hasn't always been our go to guy to say the least, so the pool of players is not that large. To me, he is as good as anyone in the past, he is a dependable teammate that has the team's respect, and as tough a kid as I've seen play the position at FSU. He likes to score TDs for some reason which is a bonus....Lamarcus Joyner - Seminole history is littered with great DBs, but LJ is going to be in my defensive backfield if I'm coach. No question. Tough as nails, GREAT team player, versatile, (insert superlative here), (insert superlative here), etc... To me, not much needs to be said to support this pick. A fantastic Nole.
TJ8 - If I'm picking 2 or 3 interior bigs depending on the set, Timmy is getting one of the spots. I don't know how he doesn't get one. And we have had some tremendous bigs, Simon and Dockett are probably two of my other favorites.
Aguayo - We had a kicker named Sebastian Janikowski but I'm still putting this kid on the team. He just seems to be lock money. And not disruptive. Even given our kicking angst we have had some great kickers.
So that's my current take.
*Wideouts are extremely tough to measure, over the last 30+ years for me anyways, but I can see RGreene and even KB because of his impact and physicality (and maybe just because of his latest alley oop grab) being legit arguments.
***KW7 is forecast to compete for the KR spot if current trends continue...
