The Renegade Report - Spring Practice Preview: Defense

2

With spring practice beginning on March 19, we turn our attention to previewing the 2014 Seminoles defense. FSU loses a lot of talent, experience and leadership with the departures of Timmy Jernigan, Christian Jones, Telvin Smith, Lamarcus Joyner and Terrence Brooks.

The general feeling is with the exception of Jernigan, FSU is poised to replace those departures with a player equally, if not more talented.

Despite the returning talent, there are still questions that need to be answered this spring

- After Goldman and Lawrence-Stample, how will the defensive tackle rotation shake out?
- Will Charles Kelly opt for size or speed in replacing Telvin Smith and Christian Jones?
- Where will Tyler Hunter, Jalen Ramsey, Nate Andrews and the rest of the defensive backs line up?
- Which players will fill the leadership void left by the departing players?
