Jameis Winston still owns Clemson

Clemson beat Florida State to open the baseball series in South Carolina Friday. But the dominant closer for the No. 1 Noles wasn't worried. After all, it's just Clemson.

On Saturday morning, he took to Twitter to remind everyone that FSU has always owned Clemson.

He drove Clemson's fanbase crazy with a picture of Clemson's Memorial Stadium and the following tweet:

Winston, of course, had a virtuoso performance in crushing Clemson in Death Valley before being pulled with a six-touchdown lead.

This caused quite the stir with Clemson players, as Travis Blanks, a Tallahassee native, responded and then deleted his Facebook response, and reserve offensive lineman Spencer Region responded with tweets like this one:

... and one implying Winston should be in prison.

Defensive end Shaq Lawson also followed up with a tweet.

As he's done throughout his career, though, Winston backed up the talk. After taking the first game of the double header, FSU roared back from a 3-0 deficit in the second game, and Winston recorded the final seven outs for a pressure-packed save. Full recap coming via our baseball guys, but Seminoles everywhere will enjoy Winston's final tweet leaving the stadium, and his teammates getting in on the act.

UPDATE:

Winston tweeted more overnight in response to the feedback he received for his earlier tweets.

As expected Clemson fans booed Winston during each plate appearance and relief appearance.

Not that it was necessary but he went on to apologize to whiny Tiger fans.
