TDO (Free): Where Have All The Holdings Gone

A great article by Corey Clark examining the appalling lack of holding calls against FSU's opponents this season despite the 'Noles leading the nation in sacks. Ridiculous. If the link doesn't work for you, simply google "where have all the holdings gone."

Herb Uzzi of ESPN 760 in West Palm Beach is reporting that Nick O'Leary, Jacoby Brissett, and Curt Maggitt are heading for an unofficial to Florida State this weekend.

O'Leary is the #1 tight end in the country, Brissett a talented quarterback, and Maggit a speedy rush end/ OLB type.

All 128 ACC Atlantic Division scenarios in one place

All 128 ACC Atlantic Division scenarios in one place With four teams and seven games still relevant to the ACC's Atlantic Division race, there are 128 scenarios that could come out of the division. Of the 128 scenarios, Florida State wins in 38 of them, N.C. State in 33, Maryland in 31 and Clemson in 25. --------------------- One of the scenarios comes down to a random draw. Bottom line for FSU is that we need to beat Clemson to stay alive (unless you expect Clemson to lose to Wake Forest).

Christian Ponder is expected to miss practice today as he recovers from the elbow procedure he underwent yesterday. We are told that unlike previous weeks, draining the swelling required the use of a knife as opposed to a needle and Ponder went under anesthesia. Certainly that doesn't bode well for his recovery or the season-long prognosis. Remember that the last two times Ponder had the elbow drained he had 11 and 9 days to recover. Here he has only 6.

His status for Saturday's game against Clemson has not yet been clarified by the coaching staff. Some people around the program are not optimistic while others are in wait-and-see mode. The gambling line has been down since yesterday afternoon, so there is no advantage to you knowing whether he will play at this point, and no advantage for FSU's coaches to reveal anything to Clemson's coaches earlier than necessary. 3rd-year Sophomore EJ Manuel, starter of four games a season ago, will continue to take snaps in his absence.

Quarterback Christian Ponder missed practice today getting some treatment for his elbow injury (bursa sack). The elbow was treated and drained during previous two weeks in which he was 41-63 for 464 4 TD, 0 INT

At this point I will not guess on his status. This is neither alarming nor encouraging.
