At 8:30pm EST tonight, Florida State will attempt to do something it has achieved 3 times as a program but not since 1996: Win the Orange Bowl.
The Huskies are athletic, experienced, and apparently full of bravado. With DJ Eliot at the helm of the FSU defense, will we see some more standard and passing down blitzes? Or perhaps a heavy dose of C3 zone, goading Lynch into throws or poor pocket escape routes? Or perhaps FSU will just man-up any of NIU's spread looks and wait?
On offense for FSU, the Huskies get a lot of sacks from its defensive line, with 35 of its 38 sacks on the season coming from defensive linemen. Can the offensive line neutralize the NIU pass rush? Can EJ neutralize his B-button spin move and successfully escape a collapsing pocket at the right time?
We'll find out tonight.
