The Florida State Seminoles took to the indoor practice facility Wednesday afternoon on a hot and muggy day as they continue their third week of spring practice. With a number of starters missing time for various reasons, it opens up a chance for some of the other guys to get meaningful reps.
The following players were not dressed out on Wednesday: Terrance Smith and Ronald Darby, along with the group of players that will miss spring. Tre Jackson, Nate Andrews and Scooter Haggins were dressed out but limited.
These players were not at Wednesday's practice: Justin Shanks, Nick O'Leary and Chris Casher.
Tyler Hunter continued to wear his green non-contact jersey, but Karlos Williams was no longer in his.
Ro'Derrick Hoskins was getting the reps at defensive end in Chris Casher's absence. Seemed to get a lot of praise from the staff, too.
Rashad Greene, Bobo Wilson and Kermit Whitfield all took reps returning punts.
Bobby Hart, for the first time that I can remember, was also getting some cross-training in with the centers. With Hart spending some time with the centers and Jackson still limited, Wilson Bell and Kareem Are we're able to take meaningful reps with the starters.
As expected in O'Leary's absence, Kevin Haplea was taking those snaps.
Jimbo Fisher will speak to the media following practice and we'll bring you any updates. We expect to hear more about O'Leary's condition.
