Update
Jimbo Fisher does not regret getting into it with a fan following FSU’s loss to Louisville, he said Monday.
“No, not one bit because I don't expect that from our fans in our stadium.”
Fisher went on to say that the families and kids of coaches were standing by the tunnel near where the fan was yelling “get new coaches,” and he did not feel it was appropriate to yell for coaches to be fired in front of their kids.
Fisher said he believes the fan spent his money and time to go to the game, make a sign, and holler for changes because “he loves Florida State” and is passionate.
Fisher said that the administration did not need to have a talk with him about the interaction, because “they were there and saw what happened.”
After Jimbo Fisher’s Florida State Seminoles lost to Louisville to drop to 2-4, Jimbo Fisher was visibly upset. He made several questionable game management decisions that ultimately reduced FSU’s chance to win the game.
He then started getting it into a fan, according to Garry Smits of the Jacksonville Times-Union.
“Jimbo Fisher just got into it with a fan who yelled “get new coaches.” Fisher said “walk your a— down here and say it.”

The fan that @FSUFootball coach Jimbo Fisher got into it with had been told seconds before by police to put a derogatory sign away.

Fisher was asked about it after the game, and gave a no comment while placing blame on the fan.

This isn’t a good look for the coach, who pretty clearly made a mistake in deciding to retain his entire staff following an underachieving 2016 campaign. The same mistakes are being made, and the problems are now starting to show a bit in recruiting, too.
Florida State is now in danger of missing a bowl game for the first time in more than 30 years.
