Migration to 2.0 Begins...

...SBNation's migration to 2.0 continues with Tomahawk Nation over the next couple of days.

If you want to check out some of 2.0 options check out the signature site on SBN.

The good news is I'll step up my game majorly. I've been slacking a bit because I don't live in Tallahassee and I wasn't cover spring stuff like I wanted to. I also miss Jerry Scott's involvement as whenever I was swamped with work (like this past 60 days), he could jumnp in and keep things going.

That being said I'm in a better spot now and I am looking for a little assistance. If anyone is interested in doing some posts to keep up with the baseball and softball and track teams through this period, just hit me up at nafselon@yahoo.com

Hopefully, we'll have more clarification on the Preston Parker situation in the next few days. Right now Bobby Bowden is on wait because of the felony charge but expects Parker to be suspended or "do something for a couple of games." [LINK]

So I'm going to be copying a lot of this HTML and get ready for the migration. Expect big changes in the next week.

By The Way...

...since it's pretty obvious anyway but JScott left the site a couple of weeks ago and subsequently took...everything...he was involved with down (including old posts).

First of all, it wasn't my decision, it wasn't even his decision. Sometimes things are the way they are and we all have to accept that.

On the good side, I'm still here and will be here. On the bad side, a lot of the cool visuals that he brought to the site won't be as...visual. I'm much more of a novice in html coding, etc.

Hopefully he'll return soon enough. He has access to the site and at the least I'm hoping he'll come back to comment on the stories because I know how much he loves FSU.

Until then, you can continue to see him and read about his antics at Buc 'Em

Jost "Reassigned" at FSU...

...Strength and conditioning coach Jon Jost was "reassigned" (read as fired) from his position on the FSU staff according to the gurus at Warchant.

There had been reports from the beginning of the year that offensive line coach Rick Trickett had several choice words for Jost after seeing what condition the offensive linemen were in upon his arrival.

According to a FOP (that's friend of the program) Trickett told Jost to stay clear of his linemen and that he would condition them himself. Under Trickett's watch everyone on the offensive line reported substanial loss of access weight and body fat.

Darkest Days in Blacksburg

Everything else almost seems irrelevant when these things happen.

I hope everyone stays safe. The world can be a dangerous place.

We're going to keep up the Virginia Tech flag at half mast until the end of the 2007 Football season. Leave any additional comments at Blacksburg Beacon

Andrews Tears Into Seniors...

...There's obviously a lot of pressure on the coaching staff and Mickey Andrews letting his seniors feel it.

"They've shown enough that they can win six ballgames or seven ballgames," Andrews said. "We cannot be satisfied with where we are right now. It's not good enough to get us in a big championship game."

Leak Secures Arenaball Future...

...with a solid 8 on his Wonderlic test.

Leak who claimed he ran a 4.5, actually ran a sub 4.7. Leak is also listed at around 6' according the program's height monitor but is actually around 5'10.

There were also rumors that Vince Young scored a 6 on his test and those rumors were later changed to state that he actually scored a 16.

So Chris Leak, you are no Vince Young!
