A combination of all 3
Will all due respect for my rivals from across town, outside of one NC and one Heisman there isn't much to talk about. Of course they will point to to their hoops record and that's fine, but we're not talking about hoops.

They may win or they may not but one win does NOT a dynasty make.

Yawn!

Clarification
In regards to what was said over there. SC acknowleges losing 8 in a row. Those were dark days, but that was then and this is now. Past history is NOT indicative of future acheivement.

That's the difference. Its a road map to follow but in this day in age it's what have you done for me lately. I would agree with one aspect of that comment though.

"...And yeah ... UCLA has been a mediocre program under Dorrell. A win tonight will set up something big for 2007 when UCLA can get back to what it was ... a perennial top-10/15 program annually contending for the Rose Bowl.

That's all."

Regardless of the coach even that's pushing it.

Hmmm
It's interesting that you will reply to what was said over there, anywhere but over there.

Also, I hope your friends here are paying attention to your cogent observation:

[T]hat was then and this is now. Past history is NOT indicative of future acheivement.

Of course, no right thinking Bruin (or any other) fan would think to try to take anything away from FSU's or Bowden's past tremendous success, but that doesn't mean that there is any reason to ignore what is happening now.  So, maybe you agree that FSU is a tad "washed up," because it's all about the here and now, right?  Can't tell.

Oh yeah, I guess that's wasn't the point.  After a stinging defeat, you just wanted to vent a little by calling UCLA "non-existent, irrelevant and uninteresting" somewhere besides your own blog on game day.  Classy.

by BruinTJ on Dec 27, 2006 2:42 PM EST up reply actions

How dare you!
Classy?  You and the majority your bruin brethren have yet to show you understand the meaning of the word.

Figure out what the high road is before you criticise someone for not taking it.

I forgot
UCLA even had a football team until I saw DeShaun Foster pick up 63 yards in mop up duty the other day.  Ah well.

This season has been so pathetic, I hope we lose, honestly it would cap the season off in the most deserving of ways.

Hard to Believe
That UCLA can mock us isnt it? Ohh yeah they cant. I think they are forgeting how their team played BEFORE the (overrated) USC team. They were as bad (if not worse) than us. They had a 4 game L streak and a shitty Offence. Only difference? Their Defense is not as good as ours. We avoid Special Teams problems we will be fine. 27-10 W (Ohh yeah by the way... I think Drew might have a really good game (not kidding))

I don't believe...
...Drew has a big game or even a good game in him right now. He just makes way too many mistakes (are you aware how close he is to Reggie Ball's "record" for interceptions in the ACC?). And I don't see how he can escape UCLA's pass rush without using the force.

by nafselon on Dec 26, 2006 1:09 AM EST up reply actions

I know what you mean
but I truly think Drew is a better QB than we give him credit for. He makes mistakes but he is a sophmore. Yeah he is playing pretty awful but I think he has something to prove. Come spotlight time Drew have everything he needs to make the plays... Will he do it??? He hasnt so far but he has a great chance... Confidence is up... Just go execute. Im thinking 250 yds. 3 TD and 1 INT
