...FSU's tight ends coach/recruiting coordinator John Lilly is leaving the Seminoles to take a similar position at the University of Georgia according to Warchant.

Lilly's role as recruiting coordinator was definitely different than in previous years as Bob LaCivita was hired as the player personnel director and took over many of the planning duties with Jimbo Fisher.

Lilly and Richt are extremely good friends and that paired with the start of the Jimbo Fisher era and the end of the Bobby Bowden era made Lilly's departure seem more likely.
