Even before Urban Meyer takes the job, he's pulling in recruits. 5-star defensive end Adolphus Washington has committed to Ohio State and stated that he believes Urban Meyer will be his head coach.

Cincinnati Taft defensive end Adolphus Washington plans on committing to Ohio State today or tomorrow, according to Bucknuts.com, who spoke with Washington's father. Considered one of the premier weakside ends in the country, Washington, a five star recruit on Scout.com, was long seen as a Buckeye lean before Jim Tressel's retirement in May. Michigan and Alabama crept up on Washington's list following Tressel's departure, but it appears Luke Fickell and staff pulled him back in over the summer. Update: Washington was scheduled to officially announce his decision tonight, but he canceled his live chat with Rivals.com, probably due to the premature leak. He will reschedule for another day, but he should still be a Buckeye.

Cincinnati Taft Head Coach Mike Martin spoke today at the Ohio High School Coaches Clinic. The clinic was hosted by Ohio State and held in the Schottenstein Center, and other keynote speakers included Jon Gruden, Earle Bruce, and John Cooper. Mike Martin is the head coach of Dwayne Stanford and Adolphus Washington, two of the top recruits in Ohio. Both are being heavily pursued by the Buckeyes and numerous national programs.
