UPDATED WITH VIDEO PART 3 TN member "willdabeast" first posted a Fanshot of this interview with Mark Stoops which was filmed and posted by Andrew Carter at his Chopping Block, of Stoops' first meeting with the media since his hire in December. Thanks to AC for filming and sharing these videos. Some of the topics he discussed include: -How FSU will run a base 4-3 defense, but it will be very "multiple" and will feature many different looks and packages within the base defense. How we can expect a lot of variation between zone and man, and lots of different personnel groupings, depending on the game-plan for a given game. "Multiple" is a word he used multiple times during this interview. -How the tradition of Florida State is what drew him to Tallahassee. -How his crossing paths with Jimbo Fisher while recruiting lead to a relationship and friendship with Jimbo. -How he will finally be able to evaluate the talent and personnel he will have here at FSU, starting with spring practice, which begins on March 16th. -On how you must first start with the fundamentals to successfully install the base defense, which is the key to building a defense from the ground up, and why spring practice will be so important. -And how he and his family have been getting acclimated to Tallahassee so far.
