Seeing as how we didn't hear any big news on the 15th, doesn't look like we'll have to worry about Mr. Story anytime soon. Any news on the other transfers uf has seen this Summer?
The Seminoles will essentially be looking for a do-over in their return to glory, which took a sudden detour in the wrong direction a year ago. Pegged as the program’s long-awaited breakthrough following a decade of mediocrity, Florida State went a disappointing 9-4, failing to even capture the ACC Atlantic Division. However, with as many as 18 starters back from last year’s underachieving squad, the ‘Noles are hell-bent on putting it all together, and possibly vying for national championship contention in 2012
J Fann article with some ideas about what might help Florida State build its program.
A great reminder of why so many of us believe 2012 is the year for FSU. This Sr class class could have 10 draft picks, easily. When is the last time FSU's Sr class been this strong, with tons of depth and talent in the underclasses as well?
Considering all the news about leaving the ACC I found this article interesting when FSU officially accepted its ACC invitation back in 1990.
FSU was a trendy pick to compete for a national title last season, and by and large it failed to meet expectations. Fisher is a talented offensive coach, but the Seminoles’ porous offensive line and invisible running game have to reflect on him. Then again, the Noles are trendy again, aren’t they? Anything less than an Atlantic Division title in 2012 will be an (yet another) absolute failure for the program. Link to list is at the bottom of the page...
Florida State's first-ever sand volleyball team have made history by finishing their inaugural season 15-0 in dual matches. One event remains for the Seminoles: the first-ever Collegiate Sand Volleyball National Championships in Alabama next weekend. Here's wishing the Garnet and Gold the best as they seek to mine one more bit of gold from the sand. Story with Video Twitter News Feed
ESPN's Andrea Adelson provides a Q&A with Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher. 'The pressure people put on me isn’t close to the pressure I put on myself.' In a related feature Adelson discusses the Sunshine State's Big Three. She again offers comments by the Seminoles' head coach. "Consistency in head coaching and staffs," Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said when asked the single-biggest reason the three rose at once. "Miami had the most rotation, but Steve and Bobby were here forever, and their staffs very rarely changed, just a guy or two every blue moon. They got ahead and got that momentum. … It's a matter of teams establishing winning and keeping the local players home." http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7783894/will-miami-hurricanes-florida-gators-florida-state-seminoles-rise-again
Much like the Big Ten, the Atlantic Coast Conference had its postseason struggles with only two victories in eight attempts. But fear not fans, with a bevy of talent, several ACC teams should be back in the mix nationally in 2012. From FSU - Brandon Jenkins and Greg Reid Nothing mind blowing here, just some crapper material.
