It gets even better when you know that LivingSocial and Groupon split the revenue with the vendor, meaning that Maryland is selling home game tickets for $7.50 each, or if you buy 2, they're willing to let them go for less than $3 apiece.
Fear the Turtle's finances, y'all.
Forget that Ralph Friedgen won ACC Coach of the Year this year. Even that didn't save him from getting canned. OC James Franklin's leaving to coach Vandy, rather than the Terps' record in 2010, was ultimately the final nail in the coffin. Maryland had no future with Friedgen planning to leave after 2011. Now with the succession plan they thought they had in ruins, AD Kevin Anderson decided to pull the trigger.
Interesting article about Ralph Friegden. Looks like Maryland may force him out and go after Mike Leach. That could be a HUGE pain in the butt for FSU down the line, don't want to see Leach in the ACC. I also laughed when they said Mike Locksley from New Mexico would be a candidate. I hope Maryland goes after him!!!
