The Seminoles will essentially be looking for a do-over in their return to glory, which took a sudden detour in the wrong direction a year ago. Pegged as the program’s long-awaited breakthrough following a decade of mediocrity, Florida State went a disappointing 9-4, failing to even capture the ACC Atlantic Division. However, with as many as 18 starters back from last year’s underachieving squad, the ‘Noles are hell-bent on putting it all together, and possibly vying for national championship contention in 2012
A great reminder of why so many of us believe 2012 is the year for FSU. This Sr class class could have 10 draft picks, easily. When is the last time FSU's Sr class been this strong, with tons of depth and talent in the underclasses as well?
FSU was a trendy pick to compete for a national title last season, and by and large it failed to meet expectations. Fisher is a talented offensive coach, but the Seminoles’ porous offensive line and invisible running game have to reflect on him. Then again, the Noles are trendy again, aren’t they? Anything less than an Atlantic Division title in 2012 will be an (yet another) absolute failure for the program.

Classic Jeff Cameron Show: Satirizing Alabama Fans, Nick Saban, and Spring Football Games
In honor of Loosey Goosey Friday and the Garnet & Gold Game, I made this video to combat Jeff Cameron Show withdrawal.
Jeff Cameron (formerly of the Jeff Cameron Show on WNLS-1270 AM) and Matt Millar discuss the Alabama spring game and the 92,138 that attended in April 2007. Includes fact-inspired speculation about what Alabama Crimson Tide fans talk and think about on a daily basis. This classic segment has all the elements that made this show special. Jeff Cameron returns August 1st on ESPN 97.9 FM in Tallahassee.
Sample Hilarity: "Section C, can I get a yik-yik-yuu?"... "Screen pass! Screen pass!"... "I feel Saban's aura and you should too."... "We gonna kick ass with Saban and the Bear."... "There's a bit of Bear in that sweep."... "The Bear said let's play some football. I said that sounds like a good idea Bear. That sounds like a damn fine idea."
ESPN's Andrea Adelson provides a Q&A with Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher.
'The pressure people put on me isn’t close to the pressure I put on myself.'
In a related feature Adelson discusses the Sunshine State's Big Three. She again offers comments by the Seminoles' head coach.
"Consistency in head coaching and staffs," Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said when asked the single-biggest reason the three rose at once. "Miami had the most rotation, but Steve and Bobby were here forever, and their staffs very rarely changed, just a guy or two every blue moon. They got ahead and got that momentum. … It's a matter of teams establishing winning and keeping the local players home."
