I was looking at some stats and I know we will have this up this week but I noticed that they run the ball a lot and dont use any crazy formations mostly a pro set. I did see how ever they run draws and counters. they look good up front. Any Idea about this anyone think we will be able to stop and make them throw. Also with 2 S out untell rollie gets back from his interview are we going to be ok in the secondary.

One week we are the happy thinking we are in control the next we need to fire everyone. Im not sure where we are but I know we are doing better this year as a team than the last few years. Our Off can score and we have big play makers. We have a Fr. RB that can and will step up next year when Smith is gone. We have some WR that if they stay out of trouble can realy make Jimbo's Off work. We have a very young O-line that has done a great job with what they have and after this season with only get better. On Def. we have some problems we didnt realy think we had. We have a few coachs that need to go. I live what they have done for us but times are changing and so must we. I love MA with all my heart but his time is short.  Chuck Amato the LB coach and Jody Allen the DE/ST coach  need to go. I dont think 100% MA needs to but he will mostlikely leave after BB is done. I dont know about Todd Stroud the STR and Cond coach so I wont say anything about him. I dont think anyone though we had a chance this year at going to the ACCCG but we still have a chance. Thats way better than what we though we had. Things are coming around for FSU its not going to be this year and maybe not next year but we will get back to the top. We have to take it one game at a time. If we dont make it to the ACCCG/OB then whatever bowl we make it to we have to win. We have to get these good recruits in to FSU. We also need to get the bad apples off the team. I dont care if they are the best players on the team. Recruts see this crap like 5 WR getting suspended and 20 someodd players for cheating. We need more players like Rollie. I know they are one in a mil. but man do they make us look good.

I just want to know what are we realy looking at. Where do we stand and what is it looking like in our furute. We still have Clemson, BC, Maryland, and UF. If/when we win the next three what is it looking like for us to get into the ACC champ game. I know we have a shot but what do we need and how could we be playing. the way I see it if FSU wins all but the UF that would put us 9-3 (6-3). Maryland would be 9-3 (6-3) but we would have a win over them. If  WF wins out they would be tied at 9-3 (6-3) and the tie braker rules come in. Would it be whos ranked higher or an extra game. Im just trying to figure out how this would brake down. If it come to whos ranked higher that would suck for us because FSU palys UF last and a lose there would drop us in the ranks. I dont realy understand how it works. As for the other side of who we could play. GT is up by one with 2 games left. Miami is kinda in the mix if they beat GT they would go on. VT could win out and they have a win over GT so those are the only teams. Its funny how close all these teams realy are. The way it looks to me is we realy need to get past this game and move on because we still have a real good shot at getting into the ACC champ game. The only thing stoping FSU right now would be FSU. I didnt think a lose to GT would be a real big thing. One game at a time. Dose this seem like its posable. I feel it is. I just want to know because I dont understand how everything realy works.

The pain of this loss, the let down from the D., the game is over. I feel the pain. I got home I watched the first drive from FSU and GT and then left because my wife and in-laws(were in town from Religh) were out shoping. I got home and thanks to DVR I watched the game in x4 fast foward. I have no clue what happend. It seamed like of all things Our Off. did a good job. The D sucked and in the end we lost because luck wasnt on our side. Then I got some highlights form the UF game. Looks like we will be 9-3 going to a bowl game. You know what Im pissed about the lose but Im cool with 9-3. You want to look ahead about winning the ACC this year Why!!! WHY this year. At the benning of the season who in there right mind would thought FSU would have a chance at getting to the OB. Thats says something to me. This team had a very bad D day but thats only one. We were what 7th in the nation on D and we lost one game. Thats not that big off a deal. We still have a lot more left. What about clemson. When  we go into that game and our Off. Is getting better. and Our D shows up with all the power and str they have. ITS NOT OVER THE END OF THE WOURLD HASNT CAME YET. I know you are all mad but drop it, and Lets move on.

I just read the artical on ESPN  ACC blog about Micky and I got to thinking. Whats going to happen with him. Is he going to stick around after Bobby finlly calls it quits? Who would Jimbo go after to replace him? Im not trying to start something bad here but I look at it as Bobby didnt make FSU what it is on his own. For the last 25 years Mickeys been there every step of the way. We know Jimbo is taking over someday and I think everyone is ok with that. FSU made a good call and was looking for someone young to take the place of Bobby. But with that What about Mickey. FSU is what is is because of him too and hes not someone you just replace. Bobby is someone you dont just replace. Also would Mickey stick around with Jimbo as head coach. I have faith in FSU and in Jimbo. I beleave we are going to the top and over the next few years I  see us back on top and untouchable in the ACC but it makes me thing about whos going to be there with us. I hope Bobby and Co. stick around another year. I hope Jo Pa is around another year. I would love to see FSU Vs PSU next year in the NC and ether let them go out together or Bobby on top. But thats just a dream and as of right now I dont know if it could happen. What I do know is I think Bobby and Mickey should be happy. They have make a legacy together at FSU. Whatever happens I would love to say thank you Mickey for staying when you could have left to follow a dream or to make more money somewhere else. Thank you for helping FSU become what they are and helping us get back to where we belong.

Things that need some work.

1) the jump balls. With Carr and Surrency ot side this play is effective, however they still need a little work on both the QB and WR with placement of the ball and body body positioning. This is a great play with 3rd and long.

2) the Bubble screen. I love how it has worked all year so far but NCST was getting around it. I think its time to start looking down field or across the mid/ backside WR after a fake to the bubble guy. this could get the LB/SS out of place. Also I would love to see more of the bubble screen out of a trips formation because you could get more blockers and spread the field.

3) running the ball. I see when we line up in and ACE sub TE that its almost always a run. Why do we even have the 2nd TE in there when FSU doesnt even use there TE very much. Also what ever happened to the counter paly. I never see any team running it anymore. is it just that outdated.

4) QB draw. I noticed that this is a great play with Ponder back there but not when he trys to go strat up the gut when the line is getten beat off the ball all night. he was running into his own team more than anything. off tackle or outside might be just as good.

The one big thing that is helping out FSU is the time FSU has the ball. If they can control the clock like they have been and keep the other teams D on the field like they are that will help more than anything. Most of this is on out D though. I cant say much about it because of how good out D is. There is always room for improvment but man these guys are fast. I would like to see a little more from the front 4 but I love the D's blizts packeges. Anyhow, I think FSU is looking good for a team still rebuilding and I think over the next few years this team will be on top and no one will be able to keep up in the ACC and soon the NCAA.
