Well I suppose you can, but the ACC and the Orange Bowl have struck a deal that guarantees the bowl will host the ACC Champions unless said champion is playing in the BCS title game or said bowl is hosting the BCS title game.
And if said champion is playing in the BCS title game at the same time said bowl is hosting the BCS title game? Everybody wins!
