Nothing good can come from Tony Carter missing the N.C. State with a bum knee. [Orlando Sentinel]
Losing Ball and Carter at the same time hurts. I understand Ball was a linebacker, but had the ability and speed to play the short safety position as a 4th or 5th linebacker.
Meanwhile J.R. Bryant was demoted to the third team and rightfully so because he has not performed. He will be replaced by Michael Ray Garvin when things get back to normal.
Until then, it appears that Garvin moves to the field cornerback position where Carter plays and Jamie Robinson will be the boundary corner while freshmen Patrick Robinson and Korey Magnum will backup at both positions. The Warchant story on the shakeup is here here (subscription needed)
That's a young group.
