Florida came in at 14th, one spot ahead of Ohio State. Meanwhile South Florida cracks the preseason Top 25 of a magazine for the first time in school history (No. 24) and Miami came in at No. 27.

Myron Rolle made third-team All American at the strong safety position and Paul Griffin was 4th team AA at the defensive tackle position.
