I usually don't follow too much college baseball and following FSU college baseball especially can be an exercise in futility.
But upon returning from my extended weekend I saw that FSU drilled Savannah State in a four-game weekend set (yes big deal) but that potential Player of the Year Buster Posey played all nine positions in the game.
“At some of the positions I was glad the ball wasn’t hit to me,” said Posey, who used four different gloves in the game. “First base is probably the weirdest one just because I really never played there and I played on the left side of the infield. I’m glad I didn’t get any rockets over there.
“…I was looking forward to the outfield just because I’ve never been out there too much.”
He also hit a grand slam by the way, so congrats to Buster for an accomplishment that hasn't been done at FSU since Mike Martin Jr., now an asst. coach with the program, did it in 1984 or 1985 or something.
Now let's get past those pesky regionals!
