Florida State Seminoles Football Indoor Practice Facility Is Now A Reality

The FSU football indoor practice facility proposed plans have been completed and this project is no longer a dream, but a reality.

The indoor facility will be built on the site of the current 3 outdoor practice fields, and will absorb one of the fields while leaving 2 outdoor practice fields, although the current configuration may change and the 2 remaining outdoor fields will be upgraded.

Here are some key dates:

February 15, 2011-The Design/Build team selection process expected to be completed.

August 15, 2011 - Building design completed.

September 15, 2011 - Construction bids received. Existing fields remain in use and pre-construction commences.

December 15, 2011 - Existing practice fields now available and construction proceeds unimpeded .

May 1, 2012 - Substantial completion expected.

June 1, 2012 - Final completion expected.

The total cost for the indoor facility is $17,800,000, which will come from Athletic Department funds, as well as  private funds that are being raised for this project.
