The linked article gives you a pretty good recap of yesterday’s game. Florida State continued their hot hitting as every player in the starting lineup recorded a hit and were able to put the game away via the ten run rule after 7 innings. For the second game in a row the ‘Noles got a solid performance from a starting pitcher. John Gast pitched well for the most part but was the beneficiary of a very large strike zone and although he didn’t walk a batter he did have 3 hit batsmen. Scott Sitz came in for 1 1/3innings of relief which would lead me to believe that Hunter Scantling might get the start if the ‘Noles make it to Sunday. Florida State’s chances of hosting a Regional have now been resurrected and hinge on the outcome of today’s UVA/Miami outcome. If the ‘Noles win on Sunday it would be tough for the selection committee to overlook them as a host. In Pool B play Virginia Tech eliminated a "red hot" Clemson team from the tournament and the NCST/GT game was postponed until this morning due to rain. The UVA/Miami game will start 45 minutes after this morning’s game is done, GT currently leads NCST 6-5 in the 5th inning (11:30 AM). For those who are around we will be using this as a game thread for this afternoon’s play. Go ‘Noles!
