The 2010 season is over and in case you missed it South Carolina defeated UCLA last night to win their first CWS title. After a few days off the Seminole ballplayers started reporting their respective teams for what is hopefully a summer of development. The team to keep an eye on this summer is the Covington ‘Jacks which features 4 Seminoles including Sherman Johnson who returns for a second season in a row. After a great 2010 campaign I would have to imagine that Johnson received an invite to play in the Cape Cod League but ultimately decided to return to a team where he excelled and developed greatly last year. This should give Seminole fans hope as the future FSU SS Justin Gonzalez is also on that team and if he can develop similarly to Johnson he looks to have a breakout 2011 season. If given the opportunity go watch a game, support Seminoles baseball and feel free to report back on how they did. Go Noles!
