This is not a power poll. I don't attempt to rank teams based on how good I think they are. I only rank teams based on their resume. What have they done? Not how talented are their players or what other polls project them to do, but what have they done? The poll is designed to be dynamic. I try to start from scratch every week.
Same as always. Quality losses, quality wins. Not a power poll. If a team plays bad opponents then that team needs to win convincingly.
Notes: Florida State moves up a couple spots. Perhaps they should jump a couple more spots for having to beat ACC officials and the rival from down south. Boise lost to TCU which gets TCU a spot and drops Boise a ways. Georgia is ranked over Boise. I don't honestly see a problem with that. Alabama keeps the #3 spot. The #2 spot for Oklahoma State is theirs to lose. They absolutely shredded a hapless Texas Tech team. Someone remind me again how Texas Tech beat Oklahoma. That has got to be the craziest upset of the year. Penn State falls quite a bit for a close loss to Nebraska. Too far? Virginia ranked. Yeah. Should they be? Should Notre Dame be ranked over them or does UVA have the resume to earn it? Really a pick'em with those last few spots. REMEMBER, do your Tomahawk Nation College Pick'em. Couple Thursday night matchups again including an ACC game.
