Tomahawk Nation's BlogPoll: Week 8

Not a lot of movement in the BlogPoll this week. South Carolina had butterfingers in the Swamp and West Virginia is broken.

Robert Mayer-US PRESSWIRE

This is not a power poll. I don't attempt to rank teams based on how good I think they are. I only rank teams based on their resume. What have they done? Not how talented are their players or what other polls project them to do, but what have they done? The poll is designed to be dynamic. I try to start from scratch every week.

Notes: It wasn't exactly a volatile weekend in college football. Hence, there was little shuffling. Biggest jump, or should say plummet, was South Carolina. They have a close loss against LSU, but also got embarrassed against UF in the Swamp. "But UF couldn't move the ball, the Gamecocks lost turnovers on special teams, etc." Doesn't matter. Special teams and turnovers count, UF took advantage. South Carolina was also inept on offense and UF boat raced a division opponent. Alabama will not be able to take the top spot until either A) UF , ND and K-State loses or B) Alabama wins the SEC championship undefeated. Which you know, likely. West Virginia also gets bounced for getting throttled, again.
