Florida State travels to Raleigh North Carolina for their first real road test of the season. Sure, you can count Tampa, but 'Noles represented about half the crowd in Raymond James Stadium. EJ Manuel and the offense will have to operate with what should be a hostile, raucous crowd. Hosting the 3rd ranked team in the country at 8:00 PM tends to add a bit of extra oomph to the home crowd. The 'Noles settled for a number of field goals last week. Getting touchdowns early could go a long way in neutralizing the Pack's home field advantage.
Whatever brain trust is in charge of scheduling football, decided to have all the important games today. Should today be deemed Separation Saturday? That's a fair label with 10 teams in the top 25 squaring off against each other.
For the 'Noles, style points don't matter today. Let the other teams start knocking each other out. Get out of Raleigh with a win and return home to the friendly atmosphere of Doak Campbell.
