Cut down the nets! Noles win 85-82

Presswire

FSU just won the ACC Title for the first time in program history. The Seminoles were aggressive, they executed, and they withstood every run North Carolina made. Michael Snaer was the best player in the building. Bernard James didn't sit on the bench with his injury. And Deividas Dulkys stepped up every time this team needed a leader. It was a great game and I certainly hope that you watched it.

The last time these two teams met FSU won by 33 and scored a remarkable 1.18 per possession. This time they won by three and scored a remarkable 1.18 per possession. The difference is that UNC didn't fold their tents two minutes into the 2nd half. FSU played a decent defensive game, but every time they made a mistake UNC capitalized on it. That's the sign of a good offensive team. But FSU had some good offense of their own. They abused Kendall Marshall. And FSU's bigs took advantage of Henson's absence and consistently capitalized on one-on-one matchups in the post.

Michael Snaer (Tournament MVP) had 18 points and made 4-5 3s (9-12 in the Tournament). Bernard James had 9 points, 6 boards and 5 blocks. Luke Loucks (All-Tourney Team) had 10 points, 13 assists and 6 rebounds. In all, 7 Seminoles scored at least 9 points.

Now the Seminoles are going to collect for the 6pm unveiling of the NCAA Tournament Brackets to see where they're headed and who they're playing. As always, tune in to Tomahawk Nation for commentary and analysis leading up to their 4th straight NCAA Tournament.
