Florida State kicked off its 2012 campaign with a resounding 69 - 3 victory over Murray State.
The 7th ranked Seminoles were in complete control of the game from kickoff overpowering the Racers of the Ohio Valley athletic conference. Florida State scored the first time it touched the ball on a Rashad Greene punt return and held the lead throughout the entirety of the game.
Florida State would go on to score three offensive touchdowns and entered the half leading Murray State 28-3. Florida State would continue to hold control of the game as they entered the fourth quater witha 48 - 3 lead.
Florida State did not escape the game sans injury concerns. In the 2nd quater, star DE Brandon Jenkins left the game on cructhes, although he was later seen walking to and from the locker room without the help of a crutch. As of the end of the game FSU classified Jenkins as having a "foot contusion". OT Menelik Watson also missed a portion of the game with an unknown injury.
