Florida State 3rd in latest BCS ranking

Florida State falls behind Oregon in the latest BCS ranking.

As expected, Florida State fell behind Oregon to number 3 in the latest BCS ranking. The 'Noles had an incredibly slim margin to begin with. After a win over ranked UCLA for Oregon, the computers moved them up.

Florida State remains ranked 3rd in the human polls. This is where confirmation bias comes in to play. If a voter had Oregon ranked highly in the preseason, nothing short of a loss will likely sway their vote in favor of the 'Noles.

If Florida State remains undefeated, it will need either Oregon or Alabama to lose by the end of the year to make it to the championship game. There is a lot of football left, including conference championship games for all three teams.

Miami stays at 7 making this weekend an official battle of two top 10 teams.

Clemson moves up one to 8 and Virginia Tech gets bounced out after losing to Duke.
