Jesup (Ga.) Wayne County three-star athlete Malique Jackson has committed to the Florida State Seminoles this morning following his impressive day at the Jimbo Fisher Camp. Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt was particularly impressed with Jackson’s performance and offered him the scholarship. Credit to 247's Chris Nee for breaking the commit.
Jackson currently plays quarterback for Wayne County but has committed to Florida State as a cornerback. He posted a 4.38 40-time at camp, and his lengthy 5’11 170 lb. frame contributes to a unique combination of speed and size that Coach Pruitt values in his cornerbacks. Jackson is definitely an under-the-radar prospect, gaining a 3-star rating from 247 just this morning. No other recruiting service has rated him at this point. He reportedly holds offers from Cincinnati and Missouri.
Jackson is also the teammate of Jeremy Patterson, a 3-star defensive tackle, who many expect to be pulling the trigger any time now.
