FSU has had at least one player taken in each of the past four NBA drafts. No other ACC school can make that claim. In fact, only two teams in the nation have longer streaks: Ohio State (6) and Kentucky (5). Obviously, this isn't the best way to evaluate talent, but it speaks to consistency and development which is good for recruiting. A better way would be to look at total NBA picks over a longer period. Since Leonard Hamilton arrived at FSU, only 11 programs have had more players drafted.
Since Michael Snaer was the only senior from last year's team, he is the only option for an FSU draft pick. There won't be any surprises this year.
I'm not a big fan of mock drafts, but most of them do not have Snaer being drafted. If he does, it will be in the 2nd round. Still, I expect him to catch on somewhere in the NBA (and play next year in the D-League). If he eventually makes an NBA roster it will be because of his ability to knock down open 3s, and the fact that he can defend multiple positions.
The draft will be held on Thursday night.
