J.C. Jackson decommits from Florida State -
Florida State officially lost a member of its 2014 recruiting class Monday when four-star athlete J.C. Jackson decommitted. Jackson originally committed to FSU in March 2012. A relative tells SB Nation that Florida State wants Jackson at receiver, while Jackson wants to play defensive back.

Which school finished runner-up to South Carolina? "Probably Florida State. They called me real late in the recruitment process. They caught me eye for a little while, until I realized they were just trying to fill in a position. That’s when I stuck with South Carolina and signed with them." Not many people, including myself, know about the FSU flirtation. When did that happen? "It was about two weeks before signing day. Florida State has always been a ‘definite’ for me. I liked them a lot. It was definitely something I had to think about. They were just trying to fill a position, though. I stuck with South Carolina."

Georgia also declined to offer Knott as well.
