As the Florida State Seminoles look to wrap up their second week of fall camp, lack of focus doesn't seem to be an issue. The players seemed determined as they took the practice fields on Friday. While there's still one last week of camp, we've hit the point where there really isn't anything new happening for the media to see. But Spencer and I kept an eye out.
Jimbo mentioned after the scrimmage that Maeio Pender had gotten a little banged up, but he was fully dressed and participating today.
Cam Erving and Bryan Stork - while fully dressed - were still limited on Friday. Jacob Fahrenkrug was working as the first team left tackle, while Sterling Lovelady was taking reps at first team center.
It looks like the first team kick coverage will consist of the following players, as of now: Lamarcus Joyner, Terrence Brooks, Tyler Hunter, Karlos Williams, Telvin Smith, Terrance Smith, Reggie Northrup, Chad Abram, Markus Eligwe and Ryan Green. Interesting to see Ryan Green in that mix but I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for that, as this was the first time we've seen kick coverage this fall.
They were also working on a lot of heavy, short yardage packages today. Jimbo trying to get his quarterbacks fluent with the play action, as well.
P.J. Williams was fully dressed but also remained limited.
Ryan Hoefeld and Davarez Bryant were not dressed. Interesting thing was that Bryant was participating in team stretches, which I have never seen a non-dressed player do. I would assume that means he's close to coming back.
Scooter Haggins remains involved as he was hanging around during the walk-through.
Jonathan Vickers was hanging out, as well.
There were scouts from the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, and St. Louis Rams at Friday's practice.
