Jimbo Fisher Update:
Rashad Greene left practice early, but Jimbo didn't have any details at this point. Looked like the trainer was being very careful with his hand. We'll have to wait and find out.
Jimbo also said there won't be a starting quarterback named until after Wednesday's scrimmage.
___________
With their season opener against Pittsburgh just two weeks away, the Florida State Seminoles took the practice fields Monday morning to begin their last week of fall practice.
Justin Shanks and Davarez Bryant were not dressed out today.
Jesus Wilson was in a blue no-contact jersey this morning.
P.J. Williams was back working with the first team defense, opposite Lamarcus Joyner.
Cam Erving was back working as the first team left tackle. Ira Denson was also back, and he was working as the second team left guard. Wilson Bell is still being coached up on his technique, but you can clearly see the attention he's getting from the staff - lots of upside. And with Erving back at left tackle, Jacob Fahrenkrug, who has been shuffled around this last week, was working as the third string center today.
They were working on a lot of short yardage heavy sets today, some of which included Jacobbi McDaniel and Mario Edwards Jr.
Tyler Hunter was working as the first team strong safety in the 4-3 and nickel packages. This is where Karlos Williams has been playing all fall. Williams came in for the dime. There's going to be lots of mixing and matching going on in the secondary this year with all of the talent - should be fun to watch.
They also had Jalen Ramsey coming in on the first team nickel today, which is something I haven't seen this fall.
They mixed in a fake field goal while running their usual PAT and field goal drills.
Karlos Williams and Kermit Whitfield were working as kick returners today. They worked on a variety of kicks - deep, short, shanked, etc.
There were scouts from the Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers and the Carolina Panthers there this morning. I caught them giggling about Wilder's size at one point, too.
The media will not be able to attend the evening practice today, but we will get Jimbo after the morning session.
