ESPN and the Atlanta Journal constitution are reporting that Jeremy Pruitt, defensive coordinator for Florida State's No. 1 ranked defense, has accepted the offer from Georgia to leave for the same position after spending just one year in Tallahassee -- his only FBS experience as a coordinator.
Jeremy Pruitt made $260K at Alabama in 2012, $540K at FSU in 2013 and is expected to make $850K at Georgia in 2014. #NewBracket

Florida State will now search for a new coordinator. Jimbo Fisher had recently secured a raise of $500,000 total for his coaching staff, so theoretically, Pruitt could have matched close to what Georgia is offering Pruitt, especially because it does not have to pay an offensive coordinator due to Fisher holding the title.
Radi may be on to something here. RT @RadiNabulsi: Recruiter of the day: Will Friend for getting his buddy Jeremy Pruitt.

Given that Georgia has state income tax and Florida does not, and that FSU could have theoretically given Pruitt a sizable raise, the above tweet concerning Pruitt's good friend, Georgia offensive line coach Will Friend, may be quite meaningful.
