After, a reporter spoke with Rudolph and Rudolph confirmed that he is remaining firm in his commitment to Florida State.

Rudolph is an instant-impact type receiver, and a need for both schools. Florida State has a starting job open that Rudolph can reasonably be expected to compete for and play with Jameis Winston. Will Muschamp at Florida enters the season as the No. 1 "hot seat" coach, and must have a big turnaround year after a 4-8 campaign if he is to keep his job. With offenses ranging from terrible to decent in recent years in Gainesville, he needs some impact offensive players to make a splash.
Florida State is expected to make a visit with Rudolph Thursday, and the staff hopes that he follows through on his plan to visit Tallahassee and take in the National Championship Celebration planned for Saturday. According to reports, Florida tried to get Rudolph to visit Gainesville last weekend with c/o 2015 linebacker Tevon Coney, but those plans fell through.
How solid is Rudolph? His quote suggests very solid. But that he is still communicating with Florida's coaches suggests that his commitment might not be 100-percent. As always, we'll be paying more attention to where a recruit visits than what he says down the stretch, but my Florida State sources are confident the Seminoles will keep Rudolph.
