The Florida State Seminoles took to the practice fields Monday afternoon to kick off preparation for Saturday's game against Notre Dame -- a top-5 matchup.
Rashad Greene and Markus Eligwe were not dressed. Austin Barron and Sean Maguire were also not dressed, but this was the first time since his injury that the media saw Barron at practice. He had his forearm wrapped.
Karlos Williams and Derrick Mitchell were back in pads and practicing Monday, and Williams had his ankle wrapped. Williams was also working with the second team kick return duo alongside Travis Rudolph. Kermit Whitfield and Bobo WIlson continued first team reps. Derrick Mitchell took his previous spot alongside Eddie Goldman at the defensive tackle position. Demarcus Christmas was dressed but also wearing an ankle brace.
Jimbo Fisher mentioned that Mario Pender may not practice for a couple days during his press conference Monday morning, but Pender showed up in pads. However, Pender seemed hobbled and did not participate, even though he dressed out.
The offensive line continues to cross train, and on Monday Cam Erving at center, Chad Mavety at right tackle, Bobby Hart at left tackle, and the guards were as usual. I think this is still a matter of preparation, but interesting to note.
Jimbo Fisher will not speak following practice.
