Gameday Central: Bye Week Edition

Florida State just edged out Notre Dame. It was exciting, thrilling, and down right exhausting. So sit back, relax, and watch everyone else play. You've earned it.

Scott Cunningham

The 'Noles are enjoying a much needed by week before traveling to play a tough Louisville team. Hopefully this will help the team recover from a very physical and emotional win against the Irish. But, just because the 'Nole aren't playing, doesn't mean there isn't plenty of ball to watch. Join us here to discuss games from around the country.

The Noon games don't offer much. It will be worth checking in on Texas at Kansas State. Longhorns aren't likely to pull the upset but they are only a 10 point dog on the road. At 12:30 we get to watch UNC's very good offense match up against UVA's very stout defense. UNC's defense is atrocious and UVA's offense does everything possible to not lose. So, scouting responsibilities aside, could be an interesting game. Virginia is a 6.5 - 7 point favorite.

The afternoon games might be a bit better. WVU, fresh off an upset of Baylor, travels to Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are fresh off a beat down by TCU. Without starter Walsh, Oklahoma State will likely fade away as the season goes on and the schedule gets harder. Mississippi State travels to Kentucky but no matter how much you wish, the Fightin Stoops are going to get crushed.

At night, Lane Kiffin returns with Alabama to Tennessee. Tennessee doesn't stand a chance but this will be worth watching just to see an uh, lively, Vol stadium. LSU is ranked, Ole Miss is ranked. So, clearly best game of the day? Likely not, but never count out the The Hat, at night, in Baton Rouge.

Remember, cheer for ALL THE UPSETS to happen. Bud breaks it down.
