-Tim Linafelt of Seminoles.com previews the game tonight with 10 segments of interesting stats and quotes.
-More from Linafelt as he catches up with former Nole great Terrell Buckley, who is now the cornerbacks coach at Louisville.
-Jared Shanker of ESPN writes that Ronald Darby has only given up one passing touchdown in his career at Florida State. Darby was projected to be a first or second round draft pick at the beginning of this year, but he has struggled lately. Darby will be key for FSU and must bounce back from a poor game against Notre Dame. I do wonder if Darby is fully healthy from that groin injury as well.
-More from Shanker as he writes that Lorenzo Featherston has been a positive force for Florida State on the defensive side of the ball. Featherston is extremely talented but I'd like to see him play with some more discipline at the defensive end position. He will turn into a phenomenal football player in my opinion.
-David Hale chats with former Florida Gator tight end Gerald Christian about Florida State. Christian is now a key part of the Louisville passing game as he has 22 receptions for 256 yards and 3 touchdowns for the Cardinals in 2014.
-As for my prediction for tonight's game: I think Louisville has a legitimate top five defense in the country and will be amped to play at home against the Seminoles. Having both DeVante Parker and Michael Dyer back and healthy is huge for their offense and with two weeks to prepare Bobby Petrino will have their offense ready to move the ball. Still, I think this FSU defense plays well when it has too and gets stops, especially in the red-zone, look for that to continue. Offensively, I think the Noles will move the ball as there are too many options in the passing game for Winston to exploit regardless of the defense he is facing. Florida State always seems to find a way and I think that happens again tonight. Give me the Noles in a closer than the score indicates, lots of field goals game. FSU wins 30-16.
